ladder beams

Hi, Want to extend a 4m ladder bean by 500mm due to space resriction. 5/6 m beam too long and not cutting.Want to use sleeve couplers, 500mm tube as ledgers
and a small standard clipped to form a ladder. A and E ,or result/
